Maiden Tower

Palace of the Shirvanshahs

Bibi-Heybat Mosque
Originally constructed during the 13th century by Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II ibn Ahsitan II, this beautiful mosque features elegant domes and graceful minarets. Although destroyed in 1936 during the Soviet era, it was faithfully reconstructed in 1994. The mosque houses the tomb of Ukeyma Khanum, a descendant of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), making it an important Islamic pilgrimage site.
Flame Towers
The iconic Flame Towers dominate Baku’s skyline and symbolize Azerbaijan’s historic association with fire. Illuminated every evening with stunning LED displays resembling dancing flames, these towers house luxury residences, offices, and the renowned Fairmont Hotel.
Ateshgah Fire Temple
Known as the “Land of Fire,” Azerbaijan is famous for its naturally occurring gas flames. The Ateshgah Fire Temple, built during the 17th and 18th centuries, served as a sacred place of worship for Zoroastrians and Hindu devotees, particularly followers of Lord Shiva.
